BREAKFAST CHIA PUDDING

Chia seeds are very versatile - you can use them for breakfast, dishes, baking, dessert, drinks etc. Just make it however you want it by adding your favorite fruits, nuts or seeds. Chia seeds are loaded with nutrients that can have important benefits to your body.

Chia seeds are tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanic, which is related to the mint. It was an important food and dietary staple for the Aztecs and Mayans back in the day.

BREAKFAST CHIA


Ingredients:


1/4 c. Chia seeds

1 c. Almondmilk, sweetened or unsweetened

1 tsp. Maple syrup or agave nectar


Topping: Raspberries, blueberries, mangoes and strawberries or any fruits, nuts or seeds of your choice.


Instruction:


1. Put the chia seeds in a clean and dry pint jar, add the milk and sweetener and stir it.


2. Let it set for 15-20 minutes or until chia seeds absorbed the milk.


3. Add the topping of your choice.


Option: This recipe can be refrigerated for few days and ready to go. Make sure to cover the jar tight to ensure the freshness and to keep the fruit from turning soggy.

YUMMY! Myra knows my vast array of dietary restrictions and will alert me to recipes that will work for me! I made this with blended banana and diced peaches. The peaches were canned (no farm fresh available) in 100% juice, no added sugar. I used the juice in it for added sweetness. Also SF maple syrup to help reduce the sugar even more. Very filling. I will be making this over and over again.
