I was gifted a whole pack of Meat Magic Cutlets - this product is from Cebu, Philippines. I would say it is a resemblance of Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) that we have here in United States. It is easy to prepare, but the key is how to season and flavor it according to your desired recipe. Let's get started.
STEP 1:
1. In a large bowl, measure these 2 ingredients.
2 cups Meat Magic
4 cups Hot Water
2. Soak for 15-20 minutes
Note: I soaked mine a little longer than the package direction.
3. Drain and squeeze the water out for about 2-3 pieces each time and set them
aside in another bowl. Repeat the process for 2-3 times.
NOTE: The purpose of draining and squeezing process is to wash off the grainy smell
and rehydrate each pieces thoroughly.
4. Now it's ready for you to make your next favorite recipe.
NOTE: This can be put in the freezer up to 3-4 months.
