MAPLE NUT GRANOLA

Updated: Oct 30, 2019

Granola or anything comes from oats provides a lot of fiber in our body. It is also very ideal for those who wants to loose weight.

MAPLE NUT GRANOLA

Ingredients

IN A LARGE BOWL

8 cups Organic Rolled Oats

1 cup Walnuts

1 cup Hazelnuts

1 cup Almonds

1 cup Pecans

1 cup Sunflower Seeds

1 cup Dried Shredded Coconut

IN A SAUCE PAN

1 1/2 cup Maple Syrup

1/2 cup Raw Agave or Brown Sugar

3/4 cup Coconut Oil

1 TB Maple Flavoring

2 cups Raisins or Dried Cranberries

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees

2. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper

3. Combine the oats, seeds, nuts and shredded coconut in a large bowl

4. In a sauce pan, stir in together the salt, brown sugar, maple, agave and maple flavoring. Bring to a quick boil over a medium heat.

Note: Make sure to take the pan out of the stove as soon as it starts bubbling, then stir until the brown sugar completely dissolved.

5. Pour the sweet mixture over the dry ingredients

Note: It's optional to add more coconut oil or nut milk to moisten the oats or if needed.

6. Divide and spread it evenly into two baking sheets

7. Bake it 225 degrees for 2 1/2 hours and stir the granola every 30 minutes especially the edges, to get the perfect crunchiness.

8. Let it cool, then add the raisins or dried cranberries.

9. Serve it with your favorite nut milk and fresh fruits for topping.

QUICK OPTION

Bake 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Stir once to twice halfway through.

NOTE: I preferred to bake it slowly because the texture and consistency won’t be the same when baked quicker.
