Habits To Keep Our Heart Healthy

It is always important to check with your health provider whatever health condition you are currently in, to make sure of your safety and to avoid some issues and problems.


So, why is it important for us to take care of our heart? Let's get deeper to find out the reasons.


Cardiovascular System consist of heart, blood vessels and blood. Their main functions are to transport the nutrients, oxygen and hormones to cells throughout our body. It is so amazing how God truly designed it for human being. Our heart beats over a hundred thousand times each day and it pumps thousands of gallons of blood everyday. We can go on and on to find out a lot of amazing things about our heart, but here are some suggestions that maybe able to help us according from my own experience and from some people who definitely take charge of their own health.



Here are some ideas that we can possibly develop to keep our heart healthy:


1. Reduce or replace the saturated fat from your diet

- sources of healthy saturated fats are found in avocado, nuts and seeds.

2. Eat a high fiber food on your diet

- whole food plant-based foods are the best source of high fiber. From fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes, avocado and nuts and seeds.






3. Develop a regular meal time

- our body needs energy to get through the day and this energy comes from the food we eat daily. It is important to eat on a regular meals to make sure our body gets the energy it needs.



4. Cook with beans and legumes

- beans and legumes are good sources of dietary fiber, protein, B vitamins and many other important vitamins and minerals. They can help reduce blood sugar, improve cholesterol levels and maintain healthy gut.



5. Maintain a daily exercise routine

- doing some form of physical activity each day is a smart move. It has benefits for every body system and it is also effective as a treatment and prevention of disease. It can improve memory and concentration, helps sleep disorders, aid heart disease by lowering cholesterol and reducing blood pressure.





6. Reduce the sodium intake

- U.S. dietary guidelines suggest that adults get less than 2,300 milligrams of sodium each day, but the basic guidelines apply to fewer than a third of Americans. The rest -- 70% of the population -- are middle aged, elderly, or African-American. This huge majority should get less than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day. (Source: WebMD.com)



7. Keep the ideal weight

- You can reach and maintain a healthy weight if you follow a healthy diet, and if you are overweight or obese, reduce your daily intake by 500 calories for weight loss, physically active and limiting the time you spend being physically inactive.



8. Eat berries on a daily basis

- berries are the healthiest food you can eat everyday. They are low in calories, high in fiber, vitamin C and packed with antioxidants. Most berries have proven benefits for heart by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.



9. Be happy and reduce stress

- happiness is the key to reduce all the stress in our life.
